With its plug-in hybrid design, stunning looks and high-tech features, any BMW i8 is lacking merely one thing: more power. Well BMW could be reportedly beefing up its good for the environment sports car offering.
The report via Auto Express who says they have a helpful insider familiar with the matter. The THE BMW i8 currently uses two electric powered motors and a 1 . 5-liter turbo charge three-cylinder engine to put out every combined 362-hp. Most of that power up comes from the tiny three-pot, so apparently BMW is looking at displacing that unit with a 2 . 0l four-cylinder model. Expect the new machine to be badged the i8S
Who would boost power up to about 400.00 ponies, which when paired up to the BMW i8's lightweight carbon fiber iPhone 5 case construct would make it really fly. While the amazing engine would likely add weight, any report suggests that BMW will line out the interior and use unpainted carbon fiber to counteract the additional excessive.
